Ely, MN may only have a population of 3,000, but their town has more to offer than an average town. While being one of the biggest “jump off” points into the Boundary Waters, they also provide plenty of other outdoor excursions, museums, and local restaurants.
In addition to the guide of the town, is a small Camping Guide to supplement somone’s first trip into the wilderness. Not being an avid outdoorsman myself, I wanted to encourage those who enjoy the outdoors, but are not avid hikers, to try a new adventure and not feel intimidated by everything they need to do to prepare for their trip.
